We have taken steps to protect our work and are also proud to be a member of COPYWATCH Kate has a fun light hearted approach to her work and gets much of her inspiration from 'all creatures great and small'. There are a wide range of novelty ceramic gifts. Kate began Pottery by Design attending craft fairs and events and gradually the demand for ceramic gifts from shops and galleries grew so much that this is where the business is now concentrated. Kate attends a few events at Christmas (more details in the events section) and enjoys getting to meet customers and receive first hand feedback. It is a personal favourite of Kates to be creating pottery Christmas decorations, that can be used every year forever.The website was launched due to demand, and although not all the products are listed yet, we hope you enjoy looking around. Pottery by Design offers a wide range of ceramics that are great for gifts or presents. Each ceramic items is hand made to a very high standard. Every item is made, kiln fired, glazed and fired again, making it a long process from start to finish. We offer a number of pottery goods that can be personalised, clocks, coasters, mugs, in fact if you see the right pottery gift for someone special why not contact us to see if a name or important date can be added, in most cases it can. The ceramics are suitable for Christmas, birthdays, weddings, thank you, and Easter. In fact any occasion can be catered for and pottery gifts can be personalised for a special person. If you don't see the exact pottery gift you are looking for, why not contact us, a new clock design or a specific coaster that is not available, could be made customised. Each item is handcrafted, no stamps are used so it's straight forward to have a personalised or bespoke clock, or mug made. Christmas is a speciality at Pottery by Design. The handcrafted decorations have been hugely popular for a long time now, and are available all year round. The nativity sets are a very special piece that Pottery by Design is particularly proud of, they are a very time consuming items to create but are something that will be treasured forever, and even handed done through the generations. Novelty items are also available, magnets, cards and light pulls are a good example of inexpensive hand crafted pottery items that are great fun and a good hand crafted quality. Where possible the clay, glazes and extra components that go to make the finished ceramic products are purchased in the UK, and as locally as possible. As a small UK business Pottery by Design understands how important it is to support local and national business.
